Aug 14 - Oct 14    Truck Driver Training - CDL Class A
Completion of our combined week and weekend truck driver training program, will prepare you for entry-level driving positions within the trucking industry. Prepare for the Kansas or Missouri Commercial Driver License Class A performance exam and ready yourself for a challenging and rewarding career in the trucking industry. The 160 hour training program includes classroom, self-study instruction, range and over-the-road training. The outcomes of the program are directly aligned to the federal guidelines established for entry-level drivers, which can be found in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation (FMCSR) and the state guidelines for earning the class-A commercial driver's license. Our CDL Class A certificate meets all state and federal requirements for truck driver training. THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR THE WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT.

Join us for the 6th Annual Gardner Edgerton Sporting Clay Shoot. Some call it "Golf with a Shotgun"; we call it a great opportunity to network and enjoy some Friday afternoon fun while supporting an organization that supports you - the Gardner Edgerton Chamber of Commerce.

Sep 29 - Sep 30    Commemorative Air Force-Heart of America Wing "RISE ABOVE"
Commemorative Air Force - Heart of America Wing is located at New Century south of Olathe off of 159th St and Old Hwy 56. We are a non-profit "flying museum". This event has a B-25 Mitchell Show Me, PT-13 Stearman, TBM Avenger, C-45, T-6, Chanook Helicopter, aerobatic planes, Tuskegee Airmen and Buffalo Soldiers reps, Meet WWII and Korean Veterans and hear their stories, 2 unique animal rescue groups, HAFFA (Heart of America Free Flight Assoc.), Squirrel Hollow Boutique, and for the first time, The Dome, a panoramic mobile movie theater featuring the history of the Redtail Squadron. Rides on the WWII planes and a helicoptor can be purchased. There are also kids games, face painting, Jeep rides, computerized flight simulator and a WWII museum in the hangar. Lunch can be purchased at the VAA tent. Appearances will be made by General Macarthur and Star War Troopers.

Sep 29 - Jan 16    FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot Test Prep
People in the long-term care industry give quality care to every resident’s physical, emotional, social, and psychological need. This daily giving and giving to each resident may often result in both physical and emotional fatigue for the caregivers. This session will help each employee identify the symptoms of compassion fatigue and how to overcome it. APRNS, RNs, LPNs, LMHTs, social workers, LPCs, LCPCs, and psychologists will earn 3 contact hours. ACHAs will earn 3 (E) contact hour. Approval is pending for 3 hours for occupational and physical therapists.
